About Me

My name is Zoltán Pék, and I'm an Electronics Design Engineer with a passion for hands-on engineering, embedded systems, and robotics. I enjoy solving complex technical challenges, whether through my professional work or my personal hobby projects.

I earned my BSc and MSc degrees in Electronics Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where I specialized in Embedded and Ambient Systems and Computer Based Systems.

Over the years, I’ve worked on a wide range of electronics-related projects — from automotive infotainment systems and FPGA-based testers to DC motor drivers and mobile robots. These experiences have helped me grow not only as an engineer but also as a systems thinker and team collaborator.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring technical ideas that aren’t tied to commercial demands. My hobby projects allow me to test new concepts, refine my skills, and stay connected to the joy of experimentation.

Personal Journey

I was born and raised in Hungary and spent the early part of my engineering career in Budapest. In 2017, I moved to the UK to broaden my professional horizons and embrace new challenges. I’ve lived in two cities — Milton Keynes and now Woking, Surrey — and I appreciate the mix of culture, community, and inspiration each place brings.

What Drives Me

I believe in:

  • Lifelong learning

  • Creating value through engineering

  • Building for understanding, not just output

My personal work is motivated by curiosity — a desire to explore, iterate, and understand how things work at a fundamental level.
